Harvesting DNA at birth as a chance to observe changes in life
Banking the genetic material collected at birth provides the opportunity to later compare this early, "original" information with information stored in the DNA of cells collected at later stages of life, which may be important in the diagnosis of some diseases, e.g., heart disease, cancer or genetic diseases.
