studies indicate that stem cells derived from cord blood are more primary, less targeted, and have a higher proliferative dynamics compared to stem cells derived from adult bone marrow or peripheral blood.<br \/>\nFreezing these cells prevents aging and injury that can occur to the cells in later stages of their life.<br \/>\nMostly they do not contain cancer cells, which are formed in later is very difficult, as a so-called &#8220;full match&#8221; is usually required.<br \/>\n&#8220;full compatibility&#8221;.<br \/>\nStem cells from cord blood are characterized by less immunological &#8220;maturity&#8221;, so their transplantation causes fewer complications in the recipient (in the case of allogeneic transplantation, it&#8217;s a lower risk of rejection and a less pronounced &#8220;graft versus host&#8221; reaction).<br \/>\nThey can be used even with incomplete compatibility.<br \/>\nThis means that by storing cord blood, there are more opportunities for transplants between family members.<br \/>\nAn additional advantage of cord blood is its immediate availability.<br \/>\nStem cells from cord blood when the need for their use in treatment arises are waiting in the bank, because they are collected and stored earlier than the need for their use arises .<br \/>\nAnother advantage is that they are less likely to cause Graft versus Host Disease (GvHD) reaction, blood transplants have been performed in both children and adults.<br \/>\nIn many cases, the cord blood has been used for siblings of the child from whom it was collected.<br \/>\nIn the past two years, studies have shown that cord blood stem cells can transform into cells of other types, such as muscle or nerve cells.<br \/>\nThe regenerative properties of stem cells are currently the dominant issue in the field of tissue regeneration.<br \/>\nIt has been recognized that stem cells are an important biological resource.<br \/>\nMore and more research is underway to discover the potential of cord blood stem cells, which could be used in the future for conditions such as Alzheimer&#8217;s disease, diabetes, heart and liver disease, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson&#8217;s disease, spinal cord injuries and strokes.      <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"accordion-item border-b border-gray-medium first-of-type:border-t\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<a cord blood.<br \/>\nThe mother&#8217;s blood is tested for viral and bacteriological infections.<br \/>\nOf course, these tests could be performed from a sample of cord blood, but it is a shame to &#8220;waste&#8221; as much as 9 ml of cord blood.<br \/>\nMaternal blood tests provide reliable enough data.<br \/>\nThe following tests are performed from cord blood:       <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>leukocyte count determination,<\/li>\n<li>cell viability,<\/li>\n<li>Microbiological tests for aerobic bacteria, anaerobic bacteria and fungi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  The following tests are performed from maternal blood (9 ml):  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HBs Ag,<\/li>\n<li>Anti-HBc,<\/li>\n<li>Anti-HCV,<\/li>\n<li>Anti-HIV 1,2,<\/li>\n<li>Anti-CMV IgM,<\/li>\n<li>syphilis test<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  NAT HBV, HCV and HIV tests are performed from the second tube.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/li>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<li class=\"accordion-item border-b border-gray-medium becomes contaminated.<br \/>\nTherefore, neither the PBKM, the hospital nor the midwife can guarantee that the collected material will not be contaminated.<br \/>\nLikewise, neither of the mentioned parties has any control over the amount of material collected.<br \/>\nPBKM makes every effort to minimize the risk of blood contamination.<br \/>\nAll collection kits provided by PBKM are sterile, and midwives working with PBKM are trained in the principles of performing blood collection.<br \/>\nThe collection is performed with sterile gloves, a surgical mask, and observing all aseptic principles.<br \/>\nThe quality of our kits is certified by the AABB ( American Association of Blood Banks), which confirms that the methods, procedures, equipment and knowledge of PBKKM staff meet
